Terms of Use
These Terms of Use apply to your use of the Ballista iPhone app. By using Ballista, you agree to use it responsibly and in accordance with these terms.
What Ballista Does
Ballista helps users record tee-hitting sessions with an iPhone and keep a swing history. It uses video analysis to estimate metrics such as exit velocity, launch angle, and projected distance.
Estimated Metrics
Ballista metrics are estimates produced from iPhone video analysis. They are not official or certified radar measurements, and they are not scouting, recruiting, medical, or professional evaluation results. Recording conditions, camera position, calibration, lighting, visibility, and other factors can affect whether a metric is available and how accurate it is.
Use Ballista as a player-development and practice-tracking tool. Do not rely on its estimates as the sole basis for training, health, safety, recruiting, or professional decisions.
Safe Training and Equipment
You are responsible for setting up and conducting baseball training safely. Keep the iPhone, tripod, other devices, and people a safe distance from the hitter, bat, and ball. Follow the safety instructions for your training space and equipment.
You accept responsibility for injury risk and for loss of or damage to an iPhone, tripod, or other equipment used with Ballista.
Accounts and Deletion
You are responsible for your account credentials and for activity through your account. Account deletion is available in the app through Profile → Account Settings → Delete Account. Deleting an account permanently removes its cloud account, profile, player, and hit data. The app separately lets you choose whether to delete that account’s local hit data from the iPhone.
Current and Future Features
Features marked “Coming soon” are not currently available. No paid Pro, Coach, or Team features are live yet, and descriptions of future features or pricing are not a promise that a feature will launch on a particular date or in a particular form.
Any future paid digital features offered in the iOS app will use Apple’s in-app purchase system where required.
Availability and Changes
Ballista may change as it is tested and improved. Features may be updated, limited, or unavailable, and we do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may update these terms as Ballista evolves by posting the revised version on this page.
